วัดพระพุทธฉาย

วัดพระพุทธฉาย ตั้งอยู่ที่ อำเภอเมืองสระบุรี จังหวัดสระบุรี อยู่ภายในมณฑปสองยอดบนไหล่ภูเขา เป็นที่ประดิษฐาน พระพุทธฉาย(เงาพระพุทธเจ้า)คือเงาเลือนลางที่เป็นรอยประทับอยู่ที่หน้าผา เชิงเขา บริเวณวัดพระพุทธฉาย มีลักษณะคล้าย พระพุทธรูปยืน สันนิษฐานว่าค้นพบในสมัยพระเจ้าทรงธรรมแห่งกรุงศรีอยุธยา ตำนานพระพุทธฉายโดยย่อ พระพุทธเจ้าเสด็จมา ที่เขาฆาฏกะ(เขาพระพุทธฉาย)เพื่อโปรดนายพรานฆาฏกะจนสำเร็จพระอรหันต์ ครั้นพระพุทธเจ้าเสด็จกลับ พระฆาฏกะได้ทูลขอให้ ประทานสิ่งอันเป็นอนุสรณ์ เพื่อสักการะกราบไหว้ พระพุทธเจ้าจึงทรงแสดงพุทธปาฏิหาริย์ให้เงาของพระองค์ติดอยู่ในเนื้อหิน ที่เงื้อมเขาพระพุทธฉายบรรพต ในบริเวณใกล้เคียงมีมณฑปประดิษฐานรอยพระพุทธบาทเบื้องขวา มณฑปหลังนี้สร้างขึ้นในสมัย สมเด็จพระเจ้าเสือ และมีต้นพระศรีมหาโพธิ์ที่อัญเชิญมาจากลังกา ทุกปีจะมีงานนมัสการพระพุทธฉาย พร้อมกับงานนมัสการรอย พระพุทธบาทที่จังหวัดสระบุรี
